Expression of Interest - Norfolk Pine Wood

Wood.png Expressions of Interest are now open from community groups and people to utilise the timber from the Norfolk Pine Tree felled last year.

There are seven logs available ranging in size from approx. 1.4 to 2 metres long and 0.4 to 0.6 in diameter. It is hoped that the timber from this much-loved tree will be used for ongoing community benefit, however, other uses respectful of the history of the pine may also be considered.

To express your interest please email shire@corangamite.vic.gov.au outlining what you or your group would be intending to use the timber for. Please call Council on 5593 7100 if you have any questions.

EOI responses need to be lodged by 12 May and will be assessed based on:

  • Ongoing community value
  • Timber reuse and valuation
  • Benefit for local community

Pedestrian access

Access to the foreshore will be restricted along the beach side of Cairns Street for the short term.
