Port Campbell's town centre revamp is able to commence following the recent announcement by the Federal Government that it will fund the project.
This complements a State Government contribution announced in June this year as well as Council’s budgeted contribution to the project
The $15.6 million streetscape is the largest infrastructure project in Corangamite Shire’s history and the greatest investment Port Campbell has ever seen.
The final plan(PDF, 26MB) incorporates a long list of features requested by the community.

This update explains the current works schedule, what the fencing is for and how works are progressing.
Works along the pier end of Lord Street, the foreshore and Cairns Street (along the foreshore) will go ahead this winter after the 2023 Works Package tender was awarded to Civilnow at the Council meeting on 18 April.

After four years of planning the Port Campbell Town Centre Project is fully funded and the physical works are getting set to roll out.
The Port Campbell Town Centre project is a step closer to reality, with Council adopting detailed designs at the August meeting.
At the November 2019 meeting, Council adopted the Schematic Design Plan for the Port Campbell Town Centre project
Following extensive community engagement, Council adopted a Concept Design Plan for the Port Campbell Town Centre Project

Preferred option: Foreshore layout stays the same with two-way traffic and no loss of car parks on the foreshore
After consideration of community comments on the draft concept plan during January 2018, further consultation was undertaken in July/August to obtain more feedback on the Cairns Street/foreshore area.
